Job Summary

We are looking for a Remote Telephonic Triage LPN to help support our Incident Intervention program. 

 

This position is Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pmMST with rotating weekends and holidays included in the scheduled workweek. 

Start Date: September 17, 2021.

Responsibilities

The LPN is responsible for providing nursing support activities/services for the Incident Intervention program. 

 

The LPN utilizes evidence-based guidelines when following-up on injuries reported to WorkCare, ensuring employees are managing their injuries appropriately and progressing towards maximum functionality. 

 

  1. Provide telephonic follow up and case closures in accordance with Policy and Procedures 
  2. If successful contacting the employee:
    1. Determine what course of action to take 
      1. Continue self-care 
      2. Consult a WorkCare Physician to discuss the treatment options 
  3. If unsuccessful in contacting the employee, 
    1. Check the CSI and follow the instructions given for that client 
  4. Call clinic providers and obtain status from employees appointment 
  5. Provide additional services to workCare as directed by Physician, Department Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications

Education

Graduate of accredited school of nursing. 

At least 2 years' nursing experience. 

Experience in occupational health, urgent care and emergency room preferred

 

Language Skills

Demonstrates positive telephone interaction skills as evidence by courteousness, open-ended questions to identify problems and conversation focused on goal directed, time limited communication. Must have the ability to maintain a professional approach with others in job-demanding, multitasking and/or project support situations; the ability to create and edit written materials; the skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities; and the ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports. Must also have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.

 

Computer Skills

Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed. Must be able to multi-task between multiple softawre programs. Must have good typing skills with the ability to type and talk simultaneously.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must hold current and valid LPN license. Licensure in a compact state preferred.
